Faste borringer (1/1 - 1/2). Bred sikteskinne.
- Uttagbar avtrekkermekanisme, nydelig avtrekk. Ikke justerbar avtrekker.
- Manuell sikring, ikke løspvelger.
- Relativt høy / rett stokk (passer meg bra, tipper drop ca 37 mm og ca 4-10 mm cast off). Litt kort stokk.

I may be wrong here Surprised However the gun you`re describing sounds like the "sister" gun to my skeet gun. When the german shooter Wirnher was asked to design the perfect skeet gun for Rottweil, he did, however it was made by Gamba, and called the Rottweil Olympia 72 and he used it to win Olympic gold. Then they tried to make a trap version, called the "Montreal" named after the olympic venue of that year. They`re quite rare guns, and we much sought after by collectors etc!!. Normally the guns were 30 or 32" and choked 3/4 and extra full, so yours sounds like its be "touched" by a gunsmith or its a special variant. Hope this helps!!

Thank you, Paul Exclamation

You are correct, this is the "sister" of the mod 72 that Gamba made for Rottweil. After that I think they made a mod 73 and 76 before this sv81. This is the latest model, and the most expensive I think....

The bores of * / *** is the original ones, I have the original certificate.

I found to my surprise that the manufacturer still has a website, and are able to deliver spare parts. It just took some "digging" on the internet.... http://www.gambamacchine.it/gambaarmi/
The Montreal 76 Trap was delivered with 68, 71, 74, 81 cm barrels, and the Montreal 81 was delivered with 68, 71, 74, 76 cm barrels.

Maybe I need to go to the shooting range later tonight Razz

Well, then it's been tested at the range (jegertrap). My buddy shot 24 in his first round (and he has only shot 24 in practice once before) and 22 in the second round. His verdict: very easy to shoot, and perfect pulls Exclamation

I only shot one round with the gun; and the average is 25 Shocked ... The first gun that I ever have shot a "full house" at the first attemp Exclamation We both agreed that the pulls are great (crisp and clean), the balance is very good and the hits were great (modified in bottom barrel).

The gun has a little "slimmer" woodwork than I am used to. The pistol grip is solid with a nice palm swell, but the buttstock isn't that thick as on the Salvinelli. The forend also is a little slimmer, I think this is what they call a semi-beavertail.

Is the Rottweil skeet Olympia 72 a good gun?

I know of a gun for sale at about 12500,- in very god condition...

Is it possible to get spare parts for these guns..

"Your O/U is a Model Montreal built by F.lli Gamba. The Montreal model was also marketed by Rottweil as the Model 72. Gamba claimed that this model was developed with the guidance of the 1972 Olympic skeet champion.

It is a well built gun featuring premium Boehler ordnance steel barrels and a detachable trigger group powered by coil springs. The Montreal could be had with barrels of 64cm, 68cm, 71cm, 74, 76cm, 77cm, 81cm and 84cm. Fixed chokes ranged from special skeet, 5/10 to 11/10ths/extra full. The Rottweil versions were available in three grades, standard, grade II ( interwined vine engraving ) and grade IV ( English arabesque with gold inlays ).
U.S. market guns were available with three trigger groups, double triggers, non-selective single and selective single. Non-selective trigger groups could be had as pull/pull, release/pull and release/release for American trap. U.K. market guns may have had different specifications.

The detachable trigger group was later incorporated into the Boss actioned Model SL-88, the design and tooling of which was sold to a cousin, Renato Gamba who markets it as the Daytona model.

Spares may still be available from Rottweil stockists. As mentioned in earlier posts, F.lli Gamba ceased operation about 1988. Mr. Guido Gamba operates a machinery dealership on the former F.lli Gamba factory site. During a visit to Gardone, V.T. two years ago, he still had a number of spares
( mostly unfinished ) for various F.lli Gamba models, as well as, a variety of new, old stock guns in inventory."

Yes buddy it is!!!! Very Happy Its a "tula" choked skeet gun, copied directly from the soviet MU series of guns. This "choke design" has won more Olympic, World and European medals than ANY other gun type!!. Many have said the Olympia 72 was better than the Russian gun, simply because it was better handling, and made in the west!!. It was used to record the worlds first 200 straight at skeet!! So basically you have a detachable trigger skeet gun capable - in the right hands!- of setting world records etc, by the sound of it, all for less than 13 grand!!!!
